Madrid is one of Europe's trendiest destinations for a reason. Students who come here are pleasantly surprised at all there is to do. Go for a run in Retiro Park, visit the Real Madrid soccer stadium, or soak up one of the world's best art collections at the Prado Museum. Browse for treasures at the flea market in El Rastro, and explore the winding cobblestone lanes of Malasaña. LGBTQ+ students feel right at home in the Chueca neighborhood, and theater buffs can always catch a show in La Latina for under 10€.

Where better to study International Relations than at an international campus? Students who major in IR can complete their full degree at our Madrid campus. Get even more experience by taking classes that have an internship component.

Who said you had to choose between our Boston or Madrid campuses? All Suffolk students have the opportunity to begin their freshman year in the Madrid campus, and study here for up to two years before completing their degree in Boston. The coursework you would complete in Madrid is the same as that of Boston, so your credits transfer seamlessly.

When you study in Madrid, the city is your classroom. Go off-campus and take your Art History class at the world-renowned Prado Museum, which houses masterpieces by Goya, Velázquez, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and more. In our History of Spain course, visit spectacular palaces to really visualize the impact the monarchy has on the country.

newmadrid13

Our goal is for you to experience as much as possible during your time in Spain. Our focus on experiential learning means that you'll even have the chance to travel and visit other regions as part of your coursework. Astronomy students visit the highest telescope in Europe (which just happens to be in the Canary Islands). Biology students do fieldwork in the Basque Country. Where will your experience take you?

Suffolk University Madrid also offers a summer session with classes for various majors, including business, government, math & statistics, astronomy, and of course, Spanish. Join us from mid-May to mid-June, and spend the summer traveling around Spain as you work towards your major (or just pick up extra credits). Spain is the world's third most-visted country, and according to the World Economic Forum, it's the world's best country to visit. See for yourself what makes it so popular, and use Madrid as a base from which to explore the rest of Europe and northern Africa.
